Data centers
Industries
Data centers, server rooms and critical loads. The only sector where an interruption of seconds has contractual consequences, and where the capacity available in the area decides whether the project exists.
This sector's problem
A data center does not negotiate a tariff before it exists: it negotiates capacity. And in Mexico's industrial corridors, available capacity is today the variable that decides where you can build and how soon, not the cost of the kilowatt-hour.
When the service upgrade depends on a third party and your service plan already has a date, the question changes: what can be done inside the fence line while that gets resolved. Storage to defer the load increase, on-site generation to carry part of the growth, and an installation designed to grow in stages instead of being redone every time.
The second issue is the quality of the power that reaches the equipment. A data center is a purely electronic load, sensitive to transients, voltage sags and distortion, and with a backup architecture that has to be designed as a whole, not piece by piece.
How much capacity is available at the point of connection, and how soon.
Storage to defer the load increase and sustain the transfer with no gap.
Infrastructure designed to grow in stages, with drawings and coordination kept up to date from day one.

Signs it applies
This is the typical situation. It defines the whole project and should be raised before signing with the tenant.
A backup generator, storage and transfer designed separately leave gaps that only show up in a real outage.
An electronic load does not tolerate what a motor does. It is measured before sizing the protection.
If your service contract commits to availability, monitoring and reporting are not an extra: they are part of the deliverable.
In an initial review, with your bill on screen, we tell you what is worth measuring and what we would expect to find.
What to do first
Through the capacity survey and the service entrance study. That is what tells whether the project exists at that site and on that timeline.
Then the complete electrical architecture: substation, distribution, backup and storage designed as a single system, with the protection coordination a critical load calls for.
And monitoring from day one, under a reliability contract. In this sector the monthly report is not an add-on service: it is the evidence that you are delivering what you sold.
When it requires a generation permit above 0.7 MW, participation in the electricity market or long-term capital, it is developed by GIS Power, of the same group, which currently evaluates projects above ten megawatts. You do not change providers: you change who signs the permit. We do the evaluation and the filing, and we stay at the table.
When it is not for you
If your server room is small and what you really need is a properly sized UPS with maintenance, we will tell you. Not everything is an infrastructure project.
If the site has no available capacity and CFE's timeline exceeds your plan, that has to be said before spending on detailed engineering. It is the uncomfortable conversation we prefer to have at the start.
