About us
GTO Energy CO has operated in León since 2019. It is part of a group whose lineage in critical infrastructure and cogeneration starts in 1983 with ESI, continues with PMI in 2001 and with GIS Power in 2014. We say both things because both are true and it would be easy to confuse them.
How we work
It is standard practice in the industry: a capacitor bank is quoted without knowing whether the problem is reactive or harmonic, and panels are sold without seeing what time the plant's peak occurs. The client signs, the equipment is installed, and the bill drops less than promised.
We start the other way around. We install Class A equipment at your facility for seven days and leave with three things no one had before: your real load curve, your harmonic profile and your compliance status against the Grid Code (Código de Red).
With that, the conversation stops being about what we want to sell you and becomes about what your numbers say. It is also why we can commit to results where others can only estimate them — and why we sometimes tell you that hiring us is not in your interest.
Measure · seven days with a Class A analyzer per IEC 61000-4-30. Then recommend · one priority, not a menu. Finally sustain · monitoring and monthly reporting under a reliability contract.

The group
The group starts in 1983 with ESI Technologies in Tampa. In 2001 Power Management International —PMI— is founded, incorporated in Mexico in 2004. In 2014 GIS Power, Green Island Solutions, is founded. And in 2019, GTO Energy CO in León.
That history belongs to the group, not to this company in particular. So here we tell it with the dates and the name of who did each thing, instead of summing it up in a number of years attributed to someone it does not belong to.
What the group does bring to a GTO Energy project is concrete: decades of experience in mission-critical electrical infrastructure and cogeneration, access to engineering that a company our size could not sustain alone, and a clear path for the project that goes beyond our scope.
Tampa, Florida. The origin of the group's critical infrastructure lineage.
Founded in 2001 and incorporated in Mexico in 2004. Mission-critical data centers and the group's first cogeneration plants in the country.
Cogeneration, solar, storage and microgrids. It develops the projects that need a generation permit and utility-scale projects.
León, Guanajuato. Distributed generation and work inside the client's facility: diagnostics and power quality, storage, on-site generation and electrical infrastructure.
When a group project appears on this site, it carries the name of the company that executed it and the year. If PMI did it in 2012, it says so.
Who does what
Distributed generation below 0.7 MW, diagnostics and power quality, behind-the-meter storage, electrical infrastructure and medium-voltage maintenance. It is the group's front door to industry in Mexico and LATAM.
Projects that require a generation permit above 0.7 MW, participation in the electricity market, large-capacity cogeneration and long-term capital. It is currently evaluating projects above ten megawatts. The boundary decides who signs the permit within the group; it is not a limit on what the group does.
A single technical assessment and a single point of contact to get started. If your project crosses the boundary, we tell you with the number in hand and make the introduction — we do not lose it and we do not quote it badly.
You do not have to guess which regime your project falls under before someone measures it. That classification is our job, and we do it with your bill on the table before quoting anything.
If you prefer to deal directly with GIS Power because your project is clearly on that side, we tell you and make the introduction. We do not hold on to a project that is not ours.
What we do not say
Every supplier in the industry says it and it cannot be verified. We would rather you judge the method and the deliverables.
Savings depend on your tariff, your load profile and your process. Any percentage given before measuring is an unfounded promise.
GTO Energy CO has operated since 2019. The group's lineage starts in 1983. Both facts appear above with their dates, and we do not add them up into a confusing figure.
The group has worked with various engine-generator technologies. That is experience, not exclusive distribution, and we do not present it as if it were.
The group publishes aggregate figures for installed capacity and investment executed. Before reproducing them on this site we want to pin down which entity each one belongs to and as of what date. — pending validation of GTO Energy CO's delivered projects and installed MWp, and the cut-off date of the group's aggregate figures.
